One of the best parts of middle school is growing as both a person and a learner. Apart from the academic content we'll be learning this year students will also be focusing on their development as a person. Those two spheres are discovering what type of learner they are and what type of community member they are. To help guide them through that process we'll have a list of learning and community expectations. Items on this list were generated by both students and teachers. Note that this list is a fluid document and may change based on the needs of the community. Feel free to provide input on this list.
NOTE: Over the course of the first few weeks of school students and teachers will help generate this list.

As a learner I will... |
As a member of the community I will... |

|
To help me practice and meet these expectations I will...
- use the Mood Meter to help explain how I'm feeling.
- fill out an Emotion Check In when I need help with what I'm feeling.
- fill out a Peer Mediation Form when I'm having a conflict with another community member.
- fill out a Reflection Form when I'm presented with a problem I don't have a solution for.
- help those in need.
- ask them exactly how I can help.
- listen.
- be empathetic.
